About Us

The Coalition of Behavioral Health Agencies, Inc. is the umbrella advocacy organization of New York's behavioral health community, representing over 100 non-profit community based behavioral health agencies that serve more than 350,000 clients in the five boroughs of New York City and its environs.  Founded in 1972, The Coalition is membership supported along with foundation and government funding for special purpose advocacy training and technical assistance projects.

System Change

Promoting, rehabilitation and recovery opportunities for recipients of New York City behavioral health services and providing assistance to providers and organizations through The Coalition's Center for Rehabilitation and Recovery.

Behavioral Services

The Coalition's member organizations sustain some of New York's most vulnerable citizens: persons with HIV, struggling families, the fragile elderly, people living with co-morbid health conditions, people discharged from psychiatric hospitals and detoxification units, prison discharges, troubled children and adolescents.
