SPOP is a nationally recognized leader in geriatric mental health. SPOP was the first, and remains one of a handful of agencies in the nation that focuses on the comprehensive mental health needs of seniors living in the community. Since our inception in 1972 we have been providing a full array of services to older adults living in the Manhattan community. SPOP is a NYS licensed mental health provider serving over 1000 elderly individuals each year through our programs: Article 31 Clinic, PROS, Bereavement Support, Education and Training.

SPOP has an outstanding reputation in the field of geriatrics and mental health and has received numerous national, state and local awards recognizing our excellence and provision of innovative programming. We are now seeking a Senior Vice President for Clinic Services to join us and help us continue our organizational vision and achieve the agency’s mission of enhancing the quality of life of older adults and to foster their independent living through the delivery of comprehensive mental health and supportive services, advocacy and education.

The Senior Vice President for Clinic Services will be a core member of the senior organizational leadership team, and will report to the Chief Program Officer. The successful candidate will be mission-driven and passionate about maintaining programmatic excellence. The Senior Vice President for Clinic Services oversees our Article 31 licensed Clinic for older adults. The candidate should possess strong organizational skills and the ability to work in a fast paced environment.


The successful candidate will have a Master’s Degree, with LCSW certification and a minimum of 8 years of experience in the non-profit arena delivering behavioral health, aging, and/or community based services. In addition, the candidate should have excellent supervisory skills as well as experience administering a mid-size behavioral health clinic and understand the current health care environment.
