Brooklyn based Nonprofit seeks a Clinical Counselor with a master’s degree and at least one-year experience providing substance use / mental health treatment services – preferably to the YMSM / MSM population. Required licensure are LMSW, LMHC or CASAC. Qualifications needed includes: previous experience delivering evidence based intervention, good writing and communication skills (including social media outlets), strong ability to document detail progress notes, ability to work as a team member with people of various racial/ethnic backgrounds, computer proficiency in various client databases, Word, Excel, and Powerpoint, a NYS Drivers license in good standing a plus, and must be willing to work weekends, nights, and long/flexible hours as required by the position. Key duties include: provide individual and group SUD Co-occurring Disorders treatment designed for the target population (specialized in YMSM / MSM track), create individualized treatment plan with the patient, provide concrete clinical referrals and referral monitoring, create linkages and partnership by which you may recruit the target population, and document all services in accordance with the Organization’s recordkeeping policies.
