The Coalition of Behavioral Health Agencies, Inc. is the umbrella advocacy organization of New York's behavioral health community, representing over 100 non-profit community-based behavioral health agencies that serve more than 350,000 clients in the five boroughs of New York City and its environs.

The Coalition is committed to State, City and Federal advocacy as well as significant technical assistance, training, re-granting and other initiatives to help the Greater New York City behavioral healthcare provider community remain not only viable but increasingly successful in an ever-changing fiscal, regulatory and technological environment.

Founded in 1972, The Coalition is membership supported along with foundation and government funding for special purpose advocacy and assistance projects.

The Coalition's member organizations sustain some of New York's most vulnerable citizens: persons with HIV, struggling families, the fragile elderly, people living with co-morbid health conditions, people discharged from psychiatric hospitals and detoxification units, prison discharges and troubled children.
