Psychosocial Rehabilitation for Supervisors


Psychosocial Rehabilitation is an integral part of the recovery process. The principles and key practices of Psychosocial Rehabilitation is most successfully implemented in direct services when program supervisors and agency leadership lend their resources and support, as part of the parallel process.

This one-day training is designed to explore tools and techniques supervisors and other leadership can use to boost the effectiveness of direct service implementation of Psychosocial Rehabilitation. Concrete tools and resources will be provided.

After completing the training, participants will learn about:

  • Basic Principles and Processes of Psychosocial Rehabilitation

  • Tools and techniques for review of Psychosocial Rehabilitation practice.

  • Communicating the value of Psychosocial Rehabilitation & making cultural pivots
  • Name and qualification of facilitator(s):
    Marlo Pasion, LCSW, is a senior training and implementation specialist for the Center for Rehabilitation and Recovery (CRR) at the Coalition for Behavioral Health. She collaborates with New York City behavioral health providers on enhancing access and quality of person-centered and recovery-oriented services through her provision of trainings and technical assistance.

    Prior to joining CRR at The Coalition, Marlo served as program director at The Mental Health Association of New York City (MHA-NYC)’s Harlem Bay Network Personalized Recovery-Oriented Services (PROS) program. Her diverse direct practice experience includes human services within the domains of youth residential and youth outreach, families with children diagnosed under the autism spectrum, older adults, adult behavioral health, and survivors of domestic violence. Marlo is a graduate of University of California, Santa Cruz, and New York University’s Silver School of Social Work. She most recently became certified as a Mental Health First Aid USA Instructor.

    Clinton Green, LMSW, is a Training and Implementation Specialist at The Center for Rehabilitation and Recovery. He collaborates with New York City behavioral health providers on enhancing access and quality of person-centered and recovery-oriented services through her provision of trainings and technical assistance.

    Prior to this position, Clinton has worked Over ten (10+) years with individuals with mental health challenges in recovery-oriented programs including over three (3+) years in a supervisory role. In these roles, he oversaw the vocational development with participants.

    *Information for Continuing Education:
    This course has been approved for 6 Social Work LMSW/LCSW CE hours, and 6 LMHC CE hours. CASAC/CPP/CPS CE hours are Pending. Please have your Social Work License Number on hand. To receive the CE hours participants must: arrive on time; stay for the full session; submit a post-test; and document their attendance via the Social Work CE sign in and sign-out roster. No credit will be provided for partial attendance, no exceptions please.
