*Note: The usual lunch hour will be limited to 30 minutes for this training, feel free to bring lunch from home, we have a kitchen with a refrigerator and microwave to store and heat up food.

Target Audience Criteria: Staff members of Behavioral Health Programs

Information for Continuing Education:
This course has been approved for 6 Social Work LMSW/LCSW CE hours, 6 LMHC CE hours, 6 CASAC/CPP/CPS CE hours are pending.To receive the CE hours participants must: arrive on time; stay for the full session; submit a post-test; and document their attendance via the CE sign in and sign-out sheet. No credit will be provided for partial attendance, no exceptions please. Please have your Social Work License Number on hand.

Motivational interviewing (MI) belongs to a category of evidenced-based interventions aimed at increasing clients' commitment to change.

Location: The Coalition for Behavioral Health Agencies, Inc. | 123 William Street, 19th Floor, Suite 1901 | Manhattan

Target Audience Criteria: This training is designed for practitioners, peer providers, case managers, and supervisors. Home and Community Based Services (HCBS) providers and Personalized Recovery Oriented Services (PROS) providers are highly encouraged to attend and will be given priority registration. Individuals working in OMH licensed will also be given priority.

*Information for Continuing Education: This course is approved for 6 LMSW, LCSW, LMHC, CASAC/CPP/CPS CE hours. Please have your Social Work License Number on hand.

Skills development is a critical component of psychiatric rehabilitation process. To assist with the process, facilitators will need to know how to effectively teach skills to individuals in a group setting.
