Job Title: Driver/MaintenanceDescription: Award winning community-based mental health agency located in Harlem, is seeking a Driver/Maintenance worker for the Community Focus Program who will assist consumer with repairs that fall outside the realm of the landlord’s responsibility. Act as an advocate for clients in negotiations with landlords and building superintendents for needed repairs and maintenance. Drives van for Program and where needed for transportation and escort of staff or consumer. Keep premise at main office in clean and orderly condition when maintenance personnel is not available.
Qualifications: High School diploma or GED. Three to four years work experience in housing maintenance, household repairs either in residential facility or housing complex. Some knowledge of applicable State and City housing law and codes. Valid and clean driver license. Good writing and communication skills. Bilingual Spanish a plus.
