Description: COMUNILIFE, a non-profit agency, provides quality culturally centered and community based mental health, social services, and housing to diverse populations.
Seeks a full-time Senior Counselor to provide mental health counseling in a rehabilitative, residential program for homeless, mentally ill adults. The overall job summary requires assessing residents’ needs and developing a therapeutic plan.
Assist residents in acquiring necessary skills to live independently in permanent housing.
Required to cover some nights and weekends, as needed. Ideal for students interested in mental health. Reports to an Assistant Program Director. Jobsite location is at 552 W173rd Street, New York, NY 10032.

Qualifications: Minimum Bachelors Degree with 1 year of mental health experience. Excellent communication skills. Bilingual (Spanish) preferable.

Salary: Competitive non-profit salary based on experience.
