MICA SPECIALIST

PSCH, INC. a leading provider of Health & Human Services seeks experienced MICA Specialist for immediate F/T opportunity in Queens.

DUTIES

Selected candidate will coordinate specialized services designed to address the specific needs of MICA consumers. Complete intake assessment of all MICA program participants to assess areas of need. Assist in the development of individual services plans. Participate in quarterly reviews. Maintain required written documentations. Maintain both telephone and face-to-face contact to provide networking and linkages between residence, mental health providers, and alcohol and drug treatment programs. Coordinate the process of periodic drug/alcohol screens. Lead and or co lead psycho educational groups, MICA groups and graduation groups. Facilitate and monitor participation in various self help groups including MICA support groups, NA and AA. Assist in the coordination of appropriate medical, psychiatric, substance abuse services. This may require escorting the consumer (Drive agency van and /or utilize public transportation.)

Qualifications

• MUST HAVE prior Mental Health experience.
• High school diploma or equivalency diploma required; Bachelor Degree in Human Services (psychology, sociology, human services) and / or credentialed CASAC preferred;
• Ability to work flexible schedule as work schedules and location are subject to change. Two years experience in human services required;
• Forensic experience a plus;
• Driver’s license and access to a vehicle are required.
