Social Worker – Family Specialist

CASES

Description

The CASES mental health programs were developed to address the community treatment and support needs of individuals with serious mental illness and co-occurring substance abuse disorders involved in the criminal justice system. The team outreaches and enrolls consumers into Assertive Community Treatment (ACT), case management services and supportive housing. The ACT team provides treatment to promote wellness, recovery, and rehabilitation.

Responsibilities:

The Family Specialist will take the lead for integrating family goals and services with the tasks of all team members and will provide family psycho educational groups. Ensure the collaterals are integrated into the treatment process.

Qualifications

Qualified candidates must have minimum of a Masters level training in social work, psychology or related field. Previous experience working with homeless individuals with serious mental illnesses. Effective written and oral communication skills. Bilingual skills in Spanish preferred.

Salary

commensurate with experience, plus an excellent benefit package.
