Clinical Social Work Supervisor

The Educational Alliance, a 501 (3) (c) nonprofit located in lower Manhattan, seeks an experienced, dedicated and dynamic Clinical Supervisor to provide support in the planning, development, execution, and on-going evaluation of clinical services at a busy NYS-OMH Article 31 Outpatient Mental Health Clinic with a built-in constituency of clients and an existing partnership with nine Downtown Manhattan public schools.

The Clinical Supervisor will assume responsibility for the Counseling Services MSW internship program; set up and carry out the logistic, administrative and clinical aspects of the Internship program for the Behavioral Health Services; provide Field Work instruction for the Counseling Services MSW interns; and provide clinical supervision, training and direction to assigned clinical staff.

The Supervisor will also ensure delivery of high quality mental health services to Counseling Service clients; monitor attainment of goals and effectiveness of services; assure that social work staff and interns operate within their scope of expertise and practice and participate in recruitment, selection and hiring of social work staff.

Qualifications

LCSW with at least 5 years of direct clinical experience with children, adolescents, adults and families. Experience in evidence-based social work practice. Ability and willingness to provide on-going training and professional development to staff and interns. Bilingual Spanish, Cantonese or Mandarin preferred. SIFI certification preferred. Clinical Supervisor is required to have evening availability (after 5 PM) at least two evenings per week. Comprehensive knowledge of the ethical considerations involved in the practice of licensed clinical social work. Knowledge of supervisory and training techniques and practices used in a clinical social work setting. Ability to supervise and provide guidance to social work staff and students in compliance with all laws and regulations relating to the practice of social work.
