Community Health Screener, Bilingual Spanish (MSW)

Description

FEGS currently seeks an experienced clinician to provide mental health screenings at our in-school clinic located at Evander Childs High School on Gun Hill Road in the Bronx and within the community. The schools we serve provide a congenial environment and the principals participate in an active and positive partnership with FEGS staff.

Candidate will conduct mental health screenings using Pediatric Symptom Checklist (aka Mood Checkup) screening tool with participants’ ages 0-21 years old. Analyze, interpret and communicate mental health screening results; conduct Bronx community outreach to promote awareness and develop effective consent strategies for screenings. Conduct home visits to families and facilitate family engagement with therapists and increase school based clinical visits.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will be MSW with at least five (5) years clinical experience working with children, adolescents and/or adults. Excellent clinical skills and experience in conducting screenings and performing community outreach activities in a Behavioral Health environment required. Bilingual Spanish required. LMSW/LCSW preferred.
