Assistant Vice President, Jewish and Family Services - LCSW Manhattan
Highly visible, excellent opportunity for accomplished healthcare/non-profit professional to join dynamic Family Services team at leading health & human services organization.
The Assistant Vice President, Jewish and Family Services will initiate, develop, implement and oversee various NYC-based community and family services initiatives, primarily in the domestic violence, refugee resettlement and employment arenas as part of FEGS’ Family Services Division. The AVP will oversee FEGS’ Center for Women and Families which provides comprehensive domestic violence services to more than 400 survivors each year, a Refugee Resettlement program that serves hundreds of individuals seeking refuge in the United States and programs that address poverty and assist members of the Jewish community move toward self-sufficiency. Essential Functions: • Oversee the day to day operations of selected Family Services Division programs including the Center for Women and Families, FEGS’ comprehensive family violence program. • Oversee refugee resettlement programs as well as programs helping individuals move toward self-sufficiency. • Supervise staff to ensure that they are meeting contracted goals and objectives, dictated by funding source(s). • Assist Sr. VP, senior management team, executive staff, grants and donor development staff to expand program and Division resources to ensure growth and sustainability. • In consultation with Sr. VP and VP, initiates and participates in program and grants development for the Jewish and Family Services Division, including playing an active role in researching and writing for funding applications. • Assist Sr. VP with the development and dissemination of public relations and community outreach materials and program outreach efforts. • Represents the Agency and the Jewish & Family Services Division on various community coalitions and task forces including the UJA-Federation Task Force on Family Violence and New York City domestic violence coalitions. Represents the organization, division and the Sr. Vice President at outside meetings, site visits and other public events.
Qualifications
In addition to a Master's Degree in Social Work and LCSW license, we are seeking someone with a proven successful track record of at least ten (10) years’ of progressively responsible experience in community outreach, community relations and program development with at least five (5) years supervisory or administrative experience in programming for family services population including budgeting skills and program management.
