Description

Phoenix House is seeking a dynamic Licensed Clinical Social Worker to provide co – occurring, trauma informed treatment to men and women who require co – occurring substance abuse and mental health treatment. This is an integral position because the incumbent will be creating a new track for a unique population. To be successful, s/he needs to maintain designated caseloads with required weekly levels of service and specialize in trauma and chronic co – occurring disorders.

Qualifications

REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION:

• Current licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) by the State of New York
• Three (3) plus years of post-graduate social work experience

EXPERIENCE:

• Minimum three (3) years’ of previous experience with clients dealing with chronic co- occurring disorders and trauma
• Substance abuse experience is preferred

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:

• Thorough knowledge of trauma and co – occurring treatment plans
• Ability to analyze mental health, alcohol and substance abuse programs while making practical solutions to problems
• Ability to provide individual and group therapy
• Excellent communication skills
• Excellence in problem solving needed
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with all staff levels and backgrounds
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
• Maintains patience, positivity, and a customer-centric attitude – which includes empathy, tact, and emotional maturity
