- Coalition of Mainstream Employment Programs is offering 2 trainings, Job Coach I, January 19th and 20th and Job Coach II, February 16th and 17th. - Coalition of Behavioral Health Agencies: the Coalition's Professional Learning Institute's Integrated Dual Disorder Treatment (IDDT) training program has 3 upcoming trainings: "Motivational Interviewing" on January 9th, 1PM-5PM (an overview of concepts and techniques; includes 4 hours of continuing education credits for Credentialed Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counselors, CASACs), "Strategies for System and Agency-Wide Implementation of IDDT" on January 23rd, 9AM-5PM (examines system frameworks) and one session February 8th on "Cognitive-Behavioral Counseling" (training in specific techniques; time is yet to be determined). - Milano of the New School for Management and Urban Policy at the New School for Social Research is hosting "From Austerity to Surplus to ?- Forecasting NYC's Fiscal Future" on January 12th from 8:30AM-10:30AM at 55 W. 13th Street, 2nd Floor. - Training Resource Network: is offering a 2-week, 20-hour web training covering hands-on tools for job development for youth and adults with disabilities. - US Psychiatric Rehabilitation Association is offering a live, interactive audio conference, "Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity in Mental Health Services" on January 18th from 3-4PM (Eastern). The fee is $149 (members) and $185 (non-members). Included will be information on ethical issues for lesbian, gay, bi-sexual and transgender individuals and access to strategies and resources. - (ongoing) Conrad N. Hilton Fund for Sisters addresses the needs of the poor and those in special need through project support in the areas of literacy, job creation and training and treatment.
