HIPAA Training for Rehab Programs - AM
Behavioral health agencies have long upheld the ethical obligations of client privacy. Since 2001, with the introduction of HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability & Accountability Act), it became a legal obligation as well.
As Medicaid managed care becomes a reality for all NYC rehab programs, understanding - and complying with - HIPAA is more important than ever!
In this training, you will learn how HIPAA Privacy and Security Rules apply to you, your agency, clients/members, volunteers and others. And you will have practical information to take back to share with your colleagues and program participants/members.
These sessions are designed specifically for NYC-funded clubhouses, psychosocial clubs, ACE, Bridger, peer advocacy, self-help programs, mobile outreach programs and recovery/supported education programs. Staff at all levels, club members and administrators are strongly encouraged to attend.
