This course takes a deeper dive into what trauma is and how it affects our clients and ourselves. Attendees will walk away with being able to understand the advanced biological and social effects of a person who has experienced trauma, subtle signs of trauma and how it interacts with Anxiety, Depression and other mental health diagnosis. Attendees will look at how trauma interacts with other mental health diagnosis.

After completing this session, participants will be able to:

  • Participants will be able to recognize the biological, social and psychological signs of Trauma

  • Understand the interactions trauma has with other mental health diagnosis

  • Develop a plan for how trauma informed care is assessed and measured in their practice

  • Know and use Best practice tools for trauma informed care

    Information for Social Work Continuing Education:
    This course has been approved for 6 Social Work LMSW/LCSW CE hours, 6 LMHC CE hours and 6 CASAC/CPP/CPS CE hours. To receive the CE hours participants must: arrive on time; stay for the full session; submit a post-test; and document their attendance via the CE sign in and sign-out sheet. No credit will be provided for partial attendance, no exceptions please. Please have your Social Work License Number on hand.
